Abstract The application of quantitative interpretation techniques for hydrocarbon prospect evaluation from seismic has become so vital. effective employment these is dependent on several factors: the quality and well data, sparseness physics rock, lithological structural complexity field. This study adopts reflection pattern, amplitude versus offset (AVO), Biot–Gassmann fluid substitution cross-plot models to understand reservoir rocks in field by examining sensitivity basic rock properties; P-wave velocity, S-wave velocity density, variation lithology types pore spaces reservoirs. ascertain applicability explore studied results pattern AVO revealed that depth interest dominated Class IV sands with a high negative zero reflectivity reduces offset. intercept gradient plot indicated both brine bearing can be discriminated seismic. Fluid modelling properties will favourably respond oil saturation, but as little 5% gas presence result huge change properties, which remain constant upon further increments thereby making it difficult differentiate between economical sub-economical saturations data.
